Job Description | • Advise line managers on all aspects of the people management cycle, including recruitment, induction, attendance, retention, employee relations • Oversee the People budgeting process for Korea • Partner with line managers to ensure that all business units in the region are fully compliant with HR, legal and Company requirements • Act as a business partner, diagnosing issues, identifying needs and providing creative, commercial solutions in line with business objectives • Identify and assess HR issues which need to be brought to the attention of the rest of the HR team, and act upon them as necessary • Take a proactive role in suggesting ideas and creating new procedures to ensure the continued improvement and development of the HR function, increasing its value to the business • Build and maintain excellent working relationships both internally and externally in order to support the needs of the business • Ensure line managers in the region understand, communicate and adhere to HR policies and procedures • Lead, motivate, inspire and develop direct reports while providing an excellent example to the rest of the HR team and the wider organisation • Work with line managers to recruit, train, and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified and appropriate employees • Ensure all employee relations issues are dealt with in an effective manner, partnering with line managers when necessary. This includes conducting disciplinary meetings, termination meetings, reporting work accidents, supporting local HR representatives in dealing with Employee and Union Representatives and Health & Safety Councils • Provide reliable and trusted employment law advice. Liaise with Employment Lawyers across the region where appropriate and within budget. • Provide advice on immigration and visa queries • Support the Senior Director of HR - APAC |

Job Requirement | • At least 8 years of HR experience with 3 years working in retail environment and experience of new set up and store openings • Korea HR experience especially in budget and payroll process • Involvement in the appraisal process and pay reviews • Recruitment and selection experience • Employee relations experience, including assisting on disciplinary and grievance issues |
